I used Botanical Health Dispensary for the first time last week, and I’m happy to say it won’t be my last. Many of the products I’ve previously been prescribed or have sourced through other clinics are available here, often at lower prices, which has made it a very cost-effective option.
Before ordering, I was a little sceptical about the quoted 1–2 working day turnaround, but I was kept updated throughout the process and found the communication reassuring. The only part that caught me off guard was the payment process. My payment request was by bank transfer, and I needed to notify the dispensary once the transfer had been made. It was slightly different from what I was used to, but once I understood the process, everything went smoothly.
I’m still undecided on whether I prefer this payment method over an online payment portal, but the pricing more than makes up for that in my experience.
This is the first time I’ve been with a clinic that has allowed me to choose and use Botanical Health Dispensary. They kindly provided me with their formulary as an Excel spreadsheet, although I found it just as easy to browse products using MedBud Wiki when deciding what to request on my prescription.
Overall, it’s been a great first experience, and I’m looking forward to seeing how the service continues to develop. Is there any other way to access their formulary?
The bank transfer thing thew me at first, I did query it and its basically another way for them to keep overheads down to keep prices as cheap as possible.
As for the formulary, the only way I know how to view it is via the MedBud pharmacy page, they don't have their own public facing spreadsheet unfortunately.
That said, I find if you drop an email to the girls (emma and caroline? - its been a month since ive ordered lol) with a list of items they're happy to go away and check availability.
So my prescription has been sat ready for a week now I’ve finally been able to pay it today, lovely lady said that she would “get that collected today for you”..
Now I’m pretty sure that reads as I’ll get the courier to collect that today for you… but just incase my head ain’t screwed on properly today, I’m reading this correct right?
