Hi everyone, I had my 1st Dr appt with Alternaleaf a couple of days ago, all went well and I was given a prescription. I've been prescribed 40G of flower and 2 x vape cartridges, the Dr was whizzing through things and I didn't catch some of it as I was nervous, I usually go through around 56G of flower in a month. The Dr mentioned I could choose my own products next month, does that mean I have a 60G limit to order, still not sure how this all works?

hello and welcome, I'm not sure how it works with Alternaleaf but most clinics will swap the vape cartridges for flower allowance or if you ask them they will happily increase your allowance to make sure you have enough to last all month

I used to be with AL so I may be useful here. Your understanding is indeed correct.

Some clinics give separate allowances for different products like cart, flower, edibles, etc. however, AL works more on a exchange rate basis and as you've correctly assumed you can go 60g flower, 40g flower + 2 carts, etc.

Dry herb vaping will save you an insane amount of flower. 1g of flower used to get me 1 decently rolled smoke, now I get 5 solid bowls, all of which get me much higher than smoking ever did. So you may find the 40g goes quite far compared to what you're used to.

Plenty of people keep smoking though, if you do choose to do this just be aware of how that invalidates protections so you can keep yourself safe.
