THC and CBD flower separately in my opinion. Last month I picked up an oz of El Chapo 15% CBD flower for £28 so it can be significantly cheaper than the balanced strains. I've had almost all of the balanced strains available at Montu. The ACC you have on your script is lovely but expensive, Green Joys Mango cheese was ok, Pennywise is awful (I have that at the moment), ANTG Juno Libras was a bit meh and they are all upwards of £70 for 10g. Whereas currently the strawberry Haze 15% from budbros is £21 for 7g (and very nice, I have some of that as well. I like my CBD lol)

in theory you can use other pharmacies but only to order things that Montu stock

From what I could find out - it would appear you can now request the prescription to be sent to IPS even for items Montu don't stock. See

I am hoping to do this myself next month with 6 strains that are not on Montu but are on IPS.

Can anyone confirm if they've done it, or been refused?

With AL their default stance is it needs to be on the formulary however you can request a medication to be reviewed and added to the formulary, since they introduced this at the back end of last year I'm not aware of anyone being successful in their request to add medications.

that's annoying. I assumed they would have to have the option because of the obvious conflict of interest..

why would anyone choose to use an alternative pharmacy if Montu have it anyway? Or is it just for items you've previously had on your subscription that are no longer available?

You also get your £5 subscription back if you order through Montu don't you?

Well thats the question they want you to ask. - ultimately they don't want you using external pharmacies because they only make money on medication costs. the clinic itself operates at a massive loss. If everyone could use any pharmacy (as per the law may i add) then Montu/AL wouldn't make any money to pay the doctors.

How do companies like Medicann do it? Just from the delivery? Or is it a lost leader to get people on board?

The same way really, only a few clinics don't have partner pharmacies. My clinic doesn't have a partner pharmacy so there's no profit sharing scheme and I can go anywhere for anything but you have to pay for the privilege in the form of a £250 sign up fee and recurring £33pm payments on top of your meds.

Sorry to hear that mate, sounds like a bit of a balls up has occurred somewhere. This is why I moved to Cannabis Clinic Cardiff as my last roll of the dice with MC. The fact I get sent a tracking link for the paper script so I can see when the pharmacy has received it has honestly been a huge game changer for me. It makes me wonder why others don't do this with external pharmacy sends, it would make life so much easier for the patients wouldn't it.

Welcome to the forum @Boomting and I'm saddened to hear this happened
The same sort of delaying tactics happened to me whilst I was with another clinic in the past but if these clinics are going to say they will allow outside pharmacy use as is our right then they have to treat that same request with the respect they do an in house request instead of them being caught up in admin errors/delays and although we accept it will take longer to reach us still unnecessary delays leave a bad taste that they are trying to deter us.
