Clinics Are clinic’s pushing certain brands

CB1 Medical has 97 MC brands on its portal.
For the majority of these brands cb1 is showing no stock available.
Most other pharmacies have stock from these brands.
a small selection of brands.. 4C Labs /cannfx/ Curaleaf/dalgety/glass farmer/Royston air/therismos
Have 130 products available on the portal

There has been no big nasties for months. It’s available in lots of pharmacies.
I email my clinic and receive ia responses saying there is no stock.
I have to email international producers so they can inform my clinic that stock is available
In the uk.

Is the industry being held back by clinics not pushing,but not making the vast majority
of the good stuff available.

Are they incentivised to keep stock availability of certain brands and not push others so much.

Maybe it’s harder for them to source it and maybe these established brands do have high demand,
but the patient mantra I keep hearing is that we still have a long way to go before this industry becomes patient centred.

It's very political.

Pharmacies can get anything they want in reality but they do work with established suppliers (Grow and Montu being two of the biggest players in distribution).

Some brands won't stock big Narstie because he was caught advertising his weed, with all the other media campaigns about MC many are distancing themselves to save face.

why does my clinic tell me the product is not available when MedBud show’s availability?

Who’s info is correct and is your availability list the same as there’s?

I get that there will be growing pains and am not here to bash,just understand how
things can improve and move towards more consistency.

Unfortunately BNM have found themselves a little old in the cold with a lot of clinics and pharmacies.

No there's no master list. It's a bit like a local corner shop in many ways. They'll have suppliers for their goods and sometimes that supplier can't get a product but the shop can always find multiple suppliers if they wanted too.

There's also the fact that your clinic makes money through profit sharing schemes with pharmacies, so if a product isn't deemed to make them much money they likely won't stock it.

Because these are pharmacies they can't legally stock much more than they sell. So the numbers have to be really tight. No excess stock.

Some pharmacies will have access to some products before others. This can be because they've played a part in getting to market, it could be an in house brand as well. Sometimes it's just politics and money behind the scenes.

Your clinic may not have stock but plenty of other pharmacies will have stock. It's not uncommon for clinics to say something is unavailable as a blanket response.

You can send your prescription to another pharmacy but this will incur an additional fee.

CB1 have had a reputation for poor stock for years.

If you go to the main site and create an account there, you can see what I mean - https://medbud.wiki/ then once you're logged in find a strain you like and it will tell you who has stock.

Medbuds overall available stock is the most accurate as it's tracked at a supplier and importation level. Hence why some meds may say in stock but not yet available at various pharmacies.
