I got the WoHw V2 the same time I got my screwball because I wasn't sure either. For me it was no comparison, I actually think the WoHw is incredibly over-rated, leaves hot spots in your bud, cools down way to fast, heat soaking bowls is awkward.

It's fine if you're desperate for wireless but wireless sucks. Just like wireless headphones suck compared to wired headphones.

If you want a wired WoHW V2 get the TioDW Mini 2. The company sells them direct on DHgate for about £160 all in. I use it more than my screwball, it's brilliant. Can't say I ever use the injector though.

There is a wired adapter for the WoHWv2 but doesn't appear to carry over very well in practice from the videos I've seen.

I think you should go RT or Mini 2 for your first device. RT wins from a simplicity perspective when buying it.

As for the PID, doesn't really matter too much unless you use smart home features. The bigger PIDs are switch activated and are better at telling you the temp you are currently on.

The older ones, the green LED screen ones, are the best value imo. They support auto shut off, C to F, etc. the ones with the red LED screens only set temp in F with no auto shut off.

I have a cheap one with red LEDs that I've used for about 8 months without issue. Then the other one came with my first ball vape which was the thermal twist.

I prefer 18mm, the more airflow the better and it's easier to get a 18mm-14mm adapter. They don't exist the other way around.

I have globes in both, the 18mm has a noticeable difference but if you only had the choice of a 14mm then you'd still have a good time.

Nice, good to know I’m going for a V2 globe matrix, I know globes are best from Lee. The V2 will keep me in good stead until I can splash out on one of his.

I have one, if it's the one from RVS it's a solid bit of kit. I found it needed the cage but I also use custom whips for larger airflow so you may be okay with the default

Aside from the handle being wood I'm not even sure what the difference is between the normal and pro.

I have not, I've spent a fortune this year so the mrs has banned me for a few months .

Well sadly the standard RT was out of stock also… so I got the screwball and just got the bite separate… don’t get the stand but I’m sure I can survive using the heat mat I have

You'll love it mate! If you need a temp recommendation I was 270c with default gems, 283c with the 3mm balls I swapped too.

I don’t often gush that much over stuff like this but this is one of those next level experiences, I’m not sure if it’s just a case of it’s just perfect for me but I wanna be a ball vape evangelist. Have you heard the good news?

270 is bang on too, I experimented a little but 270 is the Goldilocks zone for sure

Hi, I’m trying to quit smoking joints mixed with tobacco, I’ve been smoking for 20 years. I bought a Venty a year ago, but it does absolutely nothing for me!
So now I’m thinking about getting a ball vape. I could spend up to €600–700, and I’ve been looking at both the WOHW V2 and the Universal Baller V2.
Since you discouraged me from getting the WOHW, is the Universal Baller V2 any good, or would it be better to choose something else? Considering how much it costs, I’d like to be sure

Ball vapes are all largely fantastic, my love for wired is unmatched but a lot of people do enjoy wireless.

The UB, is the daddy. The all quartz airpath makes up for the heatloss from the wireless imo. its a powerhouse of a device and one that should absolutely be 1 or 2 in your considerations. I don't own one but I'm very envious of those that do.

That said, there are many TIODW devices that provide a similar experience for considerably less money. The TIODW Plus 3 is their version of it. You need to buy it in parts but their team will tell you what to buy from them.

If I were in the market for a new ball vape I'd personally look at the Adaptaball and the Coma. Not sure how they fit in price wise to your budget but they're very unique and have great reviews. If you're good with glass then I would porbably put the Vapvana Natural above all else.

Then I'd look at the UB/Plus 3.

Then I'd look towards a Screwball/TIODW Mini 2 / WoHW V2

Then I'd look at a Ruby Twist/Thermal Twist/ Wired all star.

Any ball vape will blow your socks off as your first, they're all wonderful and the levels between them aren't that big. even the WoHW is a good device, I just think wireless for the sake of it is a loss, with the UB you have all glass pathways which is a huge W. Same for the Natural. But if you just want raw power, I'd always recommend a Screwball.

I probably use my Tiodw Mini2 more than other device and that's essentially a wired WoHW.

I’ve spent the last two weeks reading user reviews and watching videos. At first I was strongly leaning toward the Universal Baller V2, mainly because of the quartz/glass airpath and the option to use it both wired and wireless. However, I keep reading that it hits a little softer than some other ball vapes, which worries me considering the price. I know it can be converted to the metal configuration for more power, but then I’d lose the main reason I was interested in it…the clean quartz/glass airpath.
I was also considering the WOHW V2 because many owners say it delivers a harder hit straight out of the box. My only hesitation is having hot metal directly in the airpath, although perhaps the practical difference in taste or safety is much smaller than I’m imagining.

I’m going to look into the other devices you recommended now, especially the Screwball, Adaptaball, Coma and TIODW models.

One last question: regarding TIODW, do you consider their devices trustworthy in terms of general safety, electrical components and the materials used in the heater and airpath?

I wouldn't worry so much about metal in the airpath, it does effect flavour but it's one of those things you don't notice unless you've got all glass a as a comparison next to it.

The vast majority of ball vapes come out of the same 2-3 factories in China. TIODW are up there with quality manufacturers. They might lack a little design and finish but the product is always fantastic, especially for the cost.

I'm planning to add a couple more TIODW models to my collection soon.

They also do a ceramic head if you want even better flavour.

If you don't want to put it together or you want a UK warranty, look at Ripping terpz. They're the exact same devices but they whack a little premium on them for the pleasure of buying it as a complete kit.
