I’ve been a medical cannabis patient with several different clinics, but this was my first experience using Newgrove as an external patient through a prescription from Cannabis Clinic Cardiff after transferring from Medicann.

I was pleased to see that Newgrove uses Script Assist, which I found straightforward and intuitive to use. The registration process was quick, and as an external patient I was offered free next-day delivery, which made the experience even better.

One feature I particularly liked was being able to browse the formulary through an online catalogue rather than relying on a spreadsheet. It genuinely felt more like shopping on Amazon, while still using the familiar Script Assist ordering system that I was used to with MEDICANN. I also found there were more products and choices available than I was accustomed to through MEDICANN. Although the selection wasn’t as extensive as IPS Pharmacy’s formulary, there was still a wide range of options available, including several competitively priced flower products.

Overall, my first experience exceeded my expectations. The ordering process was smooth, communication was clear, and the service was efficient. If the service continues at this standard, I’d be very happy to use Newgrove regularly

The one gripe I have with Newgrove is they love to use bags over boxes in my experience. that aside they've always been very prompt a bit like you've experienced.

You’re absolutely right it made me laugh when you mentioned the bags!

Out of all my medical cannabis deliveries, this was the first one that actually came through my letterbox. I’d been waiting at home all morning expecting to sign for it, then Royal Mail marked it as delivered with a photo of my letterbox! I went downstairs expecting to find a missed delivery card, but sure enough, it had fitted through perfectly.

I can see the advantage if you’re out at work or don’t want to worry about being home to sign or provide an access code. Personally, I prefer the presentation and added protection of a box, but to be fair everything was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition.

I’m only two deliveries in so far, but it’s been a really smooth experience. The whole process reminds me a lot of Medicann’s ordering system, which I was already familiar with, so I’ve found the transition pretty seamless.

I know Specials do bags unless you specifically ask for a box so maybe its a thing you need to request with Newgrove as well. - Something to try out for next time!

Although the box is a different size each month for me depending on what I’ve ordered.

When i was with Wellfords they came in a box so this was a surprise to me a good while on.

I think i ordered 3 items - 2 in tubs, 1 in a bag.

I wonder if the pharmacy dispatches things differently depending on the size of the order? I only ordered 1 x 10g of SFA JA. My second order was also 1 x 10g of Wellfords Pineapple. Both arrived RM in bags on different days tho. I didn’t mind the bag, it was just the first time it was posted through the letter box which was also convenient
