I think you've misunderstood mate. I got an email the other day saying that my care matters soooo....Simple answer is no
Medicann will state that the pharmacy needs to be registered on the ScriptAssist platform, we already know there's multiple clinics using ScriptAssist who have a different default pharmacy so there's already multiple pharmacies registered with ScriptAssist.
Looks good reading it on their Terms & Conditions, but it's far from the truth in what they're saying![]()

Funny aren't they those little emails they send? If we really mattered it would be absolutely no problem obtaining medication that has been efficacious for my conditions which isn't available at the current moment on the Medicann formulary, but has plenty of stock availability at various other pharmacies.
Still can't believe its delivered to my door on request sometimes! And, I'm struggling to get a script together from their current 187 flo products, any more choice and I'll will internally combust! I cannot make hard decisions at the best of times. Indecisive and frail sums SOH up.Funny aren't they those little emails they send? I do suppose it is swings and roundabouts though, Clarity DSP seems ring fenced for Medicann patients at the moment in the sense that other clinics aren't able to send their prescription to Clarity DSP as far as I'm aware, so when the brucey bonus times come like the discounts we're the only ones able to access them.
It's a hard one to fight them about because you really don't want to bite the hand that feeds you, ultimately it's private healthcare and not the NHS, they have absolutely zero obligation to take us onboard to begin with as brutal as that may sound.
Appreciate your video as always bud, top content and I thank you for taking your time to go out of your way and ask Medicann such questions![]()

That's the case for me mate, as much as I get niggled with little frustrations I always swing back round and remember we're part of a clinic that comes with plenty of plus points.Still can't believe its delivered to my door on request tbf gratitude, sometimes!
Who would be the legal body to enforce that though mate? Medicann have been on the mainland over a year now, everybody from patients to those in the industry knows exactly how they operate yet nothing changes despite repeated public information announcements from MedBud and questions being asked by patients.Just want to link up the official British Medical Association guidelines on 'Prescription Direction', that is, guidelines on trying to direct any prescription towards a particular pharmacy, including properly declaring conflicts of interest:

Prescription direction to certain pharmacies
'Prescription direction' is when a patient is directed to a certain pharmacy for their prescription. Read our best practice guide on what to avoid when directing to pharmacies.www.bma.org.uk
No company should be trying to both prescribe and dispense medications themselves without the inherent conflicts of interest declared upfront to patients, and moreover, every specialist must consider all potentially suitable unlicensed medications at the same time, and never attempt to influence which medications can be prescribed based upon commercial interests/pressure. There's a strong argument for all commercial formularies breaking various medical statute/law.
Moreso, the practice breaks fundamental tenets of the 2,000+ year old Hippocratic Oath, which has acted as a baseline/hallmark for British medicine for centuries.
Doctors must be impartial and always consider what's the most suitable medication to treat/manage conditions/symptoms in all circumstances, whereby anything else is frankly corrupt - and could/should result in loss of license to practice and prescribe.
You've basically just said what I was thinking in the sense that the CQC is a pile of steaming dog turd, I thought there may have been a glimmer of hope but you have just put the nail in the coffinBluntly, no-one in my own opinion, it's not going to be enforced, the CQC who are responsible for auditing/inspecting clinics simply aren't going to act - they're not fit for purpose and have allowed/enabled the practice to continue despite continual inspections across the industry:

Care Quality Commission branded “not fit for purpose” as review finds “significant failings”
Health secretary Wes Streeting has said that the CQC (CQC) is “not fit for purpose,” after an interim review of the regulator of health and social care in England found significant failings, including a lack of clinical expertise among inspectors, inconsistent assessments...www.bmj.com

We'll put our own neck on the line, and stand-up doing our best at highlighting these conflicts of interest, but the simple truth is we don't believe anything will change - unless direct legal challenge comes against clinics – but who's going to fund that? None of us realistically can.
Sad times, sad times indeed. You can tag the CQC in a 1,000+ comment social media post, or you can directly send them irrefutable evidence of a clinic's wrong-doing, including major breach of regulations, even patient safe-guarding...
...yet you're never going to be engaged directly, they will not investigate and feedback to you. The best-case scenario in the most rare of circumstances will be that something is flagged for investigation during a future inspection, and that's about it.
I've seen what the CQC do respond to, and that's normally direct legal pressure from other industry companies. Unless you have the money and a well-versed solicitor, it seems like you're never going to get anywhere reporting serious concerns. MedBud as an organisation has no confidence in current clinic/pharmacy regulators.
