Airmed provides specialist consultations for patients who may be eligible for medical cannabis treatment. There are no ongoing clinic subscription fees.

At Airmed, we believe patients deserve a legal and supported pathway with access to qualified specialists and regulated medicines.

Consultations are secured with a £20 appointment commitment, which is returned to the patient after the consultation: refunded if treatment is not approved, or credited toward the patient’s first prescription if treatment is approved. Airmed supports both new patients and patients transferring from other clinics. Prescriptions issued by Airmed are typically dispensed through My Dispensary.

Airmed takes its name from Airmed, the Celtic goddess of healing and herbal medicine. In Irish mythology, her tears gave rise to 365 healing herbs, symbolising compassion, knowledge, and the power of nature.

We carry this spirit forward by offering patients access to medical cannabis as a plant-based alternative when conventional treatments haven’t worked. With specialist doctors and a focus on patient care, our mission is to make treatment simple, supportive, and accessible.

Airmed supports the My Dispensary Patient Access Scheme (MYPAS).

MYPAS is administered through My Dispensary and provides additional support and benefits for eligible patients whose prescriptions are dispensed through the pharmacy. Clinics that dispense through My Dispensary may support and promote the MYPAS programme as part of the broader patient access pathway.

I asked this clinic recently about their formulary and if its possible to order from a different pharmacy if they don't have stock.

they asked for the products i was looking for that my current clinic don't stock, so i gave two examples.
This was several days ago and i am still waiting for a reply.

the interactions via email and phone have been polite and professional but I really don't understand the issue and why it isn't a straight forward YES or NO answer.

So after having recently moved from Alternaleaf (after almost 2 years with them) due to different pharmacy and prescription issues i decided to join airmed and so far I've got mixed opinions:

Pros:
My initial consultation was one of the best I've had and I felt that the doctor truly understood me as a patient and they had good source knowledge on the medication itself (most doctors I've spoken to dont even understand the difference in terpenes and effects aswell as the difference when it comes to rosin/dist w/ bot terpenes etc.) so after having the initial consultation I was confident.

Very responsive, most of the time when I call them in regards to a query I have the call is answered within 30 seconds and the airmed staff try to help as much as possible, theyre also very friendly.

Initial consultation fee was only 20 pounds and after if you dont get accepted its refunded and no recurring fees.

They're part of the PAS or Grow Access Project scheme not sure which one of the top of my head but medication I used to spend 60 pounds on I got for about 45 and certain strains of medication with the discount go for about 30 ( i used to pay that amount for a lot less😅)

Cons:
Their formulary isn't as big as I expected especially as someone who uses carts a lot (no resin/rosin carts but the resin i understand is due to a problem with aurorassupplier not having correct certification).Dont get me wrong they have I believe 150+ strains of flower , 10+ types of carts and 20+ types of oil so its not small by any means but not big either.

To get your prescription sent to another pharmacy is 30 pounds which is a lot compared to the 9 pounds I used to spend at alternaleaf.

No weekend service which was a major bonus for alternaleaf but unfortunately airmed dont offer it.

Thanks for your balanced view with the pros and cons as this clinic will be an unknown to many so your account will fill in a lot of blanks for others I feel and it's always reassuring when you feel the consultant is knowledgeable on the intricacies of our medication and the discount schemes make it all the more manageable and accessible financially.

It has been confirmed by the clinic that it is now £15 to use an outside pharmacy but they will try to source the meds and ONLY if they cant or the patient choses the other pharmacy will the £15 apply.

Have they confirmed whether these will be off-formulary meds as like Cannabis Clinic Cardiff? or more like Alternaleaf where the product has to be available with Montu to begin with?

I still haven't heard anything back from them.

Not the best start regarding your experiences with them, hopefully it's minor teething issues with it being a new clinic and communication times start to improve.

They have a company rep here on the forum so hopefully the feedback reaches them.

Hi there, I work at Airmed. Our pharmacy will first try to obtain that product for you and add it to the formulary. For most products that are in stock with major suppliers, this should be possible although it may take some back and forth between the pharmacy and supplier.

If that can’t be done, then Airmed can send your prescription to another pharmacy (for the £15 fee). Again this will take some back and forth between the clinic and the second pharmacy, but this can be done. If you have any questions, please get in touch.

Love to hear it, thanks @KarenGray

Ive only recently signed up with Airmed and im already looking into going with another clinic due to their partner pharmacy not being very good, Ive had nothing but issues with my first prescription with them, every time there seems to be some other reason why they've had to hold back my meds, no communication from either the clinic or pharmacy and being told different things last week i was told it would definitely be today that it would be shipped out only for me to ring them and be told there is some issue again with it so i have no idea when i will be receiving the medication that i have already paid for so im done with Airmed already

That's not great by the sounds of things, I hope you manage to get your medication asap!

@KarenGray I appreciate it's a pharmacy issue, but maybe you could help with this patient or have dialogue with the pharmacy to see what is happening, and why? 🙏🏼

Nope its not been a very good first experience with them especially when i have severe ADHD and Cannabis is the only thing that helps me manage it properly, the biggest issue is the lack of communication, its taken for me to call them to chase up my prescription for them to then tell me that there is an issue instead of informing me when the issues were spotted and then being told different thing's by different people aswell.
