Hi Medbuddies,

With rosins now in full flow across a few clinics I wanted to take a moment and ask you how you dab your rosin. What devices? what temps? any fancy methods?

I'm not much of a dabber myself, when I have dabbed it's been with a torch and I've never touched the various e-nails and e-rig set ups you can buy today.

Are the Puffcos and similar devices worth the dosh? or do you think fuck all that and just get a dollop in some rizla?

rosins 480 max for me. i use a dabrite. had puffcos and drdabbers. and im testing the Puffco core (great for little dabs).

Do you know how many years I've been looking for a dabrite. I've never really done dabs at home, always at a friends, social club, etc. They all had these dabrites but I could never find them anywhere. I found other brands that do the same thing but not the OG dabrite. Or at least it looked exactly the same as one of these.

how do you find the e-rigs stack up to the torch?

I want to put together the cheapest home set up that slaps my head off and I feel a torch is the way if I can find a decently priced thermometer.

best e rigs by a country mile are the drdabber switches mate, switch 2 or switch go. they can replicate a banger. they also have an ascend mode that gets hotter throughout the dab. super easy to clean. no pants being pulled down with consumables unlike puffco and their atomisers

I'm glad the Dr Dabbers are worth the money, the pricetag makes my eyes water though! - If I was a daily dabber I'd be all over it but I'll be using it before bed, once every evening so I won't go overboard with a Dr Dabber Switch 2 just yet.

honestly.......i have never had any successes with coil powered bangers buy i think rec vapes do em.

What issues did you have? I've used that setup a lot, although with an insert but that only improves things, still fine without.

I run the coil around 515-535 depending.

actually gauging the right temp being nigh on impossible without a infra red set up. i tend to use blenders and slurpers as dont get on with bangers personally

Well sure the number on the unit doesn't necessarily equal the actual temp but straightforward to gauge it from a dab as to whether you need to go up or down from there.

But yeah if you're using a slurper then you need those other units that can warm those better. I find cleaning them more ballache versus the insert which I can torch clean. In terms of efficiency I think the insert I use is a bit more efficient. But I haven't done a side-by-side to check as that's long

Did you grab the XL cup for it at all? Everyone says it's needed, as is new glass for a much better experience.

i had the original. only thing that fucked me off was the banger atomiser set up. i felt a bit gets wasted in crevices

I hear that complaint on reddit, I think that's why a few people get the bigger cup. I'm hoping as a 1 dab a day device it will get me by. if I start dabbing on the regular then I'll get the torch out or upgrade it.
