Our forums have been online for over 18 months now, and surprisingly we still don't have a football gossip thread 👀

Throughout the World Cup I felt like we had a watch along between the staff, sharing in our mutual success and disappointment 😄

The Premier League kicks off on Sunday 21st August with the Gunners against newly-promoted Coventry, there's been a ton of transfers over summer too.

Who do you support? Which new players are you excited to see in a squad?

...and who's going to win the 26/27 Premier League?
 
FL div 2 for me, York City, newly promoted as non league champions, the **** of an owner sacked the championship winning manager a month back and has hired the recently sacked manager of Crawley town.

The owner's a young Canadian with a billionaire father so it's like the pc game 'football manager' for him sadly and will end in tears.
 
City fan here but to be honest I've not followed it for the last couple of years but it does look like it'll be an exciting season with a new manager and plenty of other teams hopeful of having made the improvements needed so bring it on:cool:
 
My eldest daughter's won 3 tickets for York's first game of the season this afternoon so is taking me and her eldest lad! I should probably feel more enthusiastic but I've not taken to the new ground since the club moved to an all seater on the edge of town, but then I dislike change and grew up with a terrace to stand on.

"Come on City" :P

Great to see three generations going to the match together making memories👌
Hopefully a great start to the season mate and the changes pail into insignificance but I had exactly the same experience when my team left Maine Road and I find the new stadium not really my cup of tea to this day.

Late 90's I saw you beat us 4-2 at Maine Rd(find somewhere to park on Whalley Range they said without mentioning we'd end up in Moss side) :P but we'd won the home game, FL div 2 and you went on to win the premier league , we ended up in the Vauxhall confluence north.

But yeah, my dad took me as a kid, I took my older two for a good number of seasons & my youngest to a few games and my lad takes his boy so today's mint, and free :P

I dislike the new ground a lot but also don't like the direction football's travelling in as I preferred it when there was tackling. :D

York away from the late 90's is seen as a badge of honour to city fans as this was when we were at our lowest league position ever but also the start of the turnaround for us with the Gillingham play off final win ...just 😅 (what a day)

I took my lad when he was 5 to a preseason game at Barnsley with changing trains at Leeds etc and it was a good day/experience but he never really took to footie and it didn't help my wife took him to the Etihad and there was a load of violence with either celtic or rangers fans iirc and then started he talking like a man u fan and at that point we agreed footie wasn't for him😁
