Well it’s been an absolute rollercoaster that’s not looking like it’ll be ending anytime soon..
Had a lovely call with James yesterday as I wanted to get the ball rolling on my script with payday swiftly arriving, spoke to him about getting 30g on my first order instead as I only ordered 20g initially before that order had to be cancelled because I needed to restock and I couldn’t guarantee the lead times at Auravia, James said that it’ll be fine but he’ll have to book me a doctors call because for some reason I’ve been placed on a 20g limit, (During my doctors call with David he didn’t suggest I would be on a limit at all, quite the opposite infact! He said would I even need a limit coming from Medicann?, I simply said that I order 20g most months but I like having a little more leeway on some months etc) so fine whatever, that’s fixable, James was top notch all round and got me a call this morning with Edith.
So the call didn’t go great, went through my background and everything that David would’ve initially went through, we then got onto the topic of my current clinic and I explained how David made me aware that moving over would be very easy and he’d happily prescribe me my first months prescription before I discharge myself from Medicann, to keep me stocked going into another clinic you know?.. Nah she wasn’t keen on that idea at all, was quite visibly frustrated at the fact that I would suggest being prescribed medications from multiple clinics infact, then we got onto the discussion of my flower limit and she was confused because David put me on a 20g but made no note of potential safeguarding or anything like that, I’m 31 years old. And never had any issues or anything on my medical record to suggest I’d need any safeguarding. I was then asked what flower I go for usually, I named some more well known brands, 4C Labs, Green Karat.. but for the most part they went from my mind completely, then I was told that the doctor would pick my flower for me on my prescription to which I straight away questioned the legitimacy of because I was under the impression that I was being given the choice?
This is where the phone call rapidly deteriorated (at least in my head), Edith clearly annoyed made the point that and I quote “This isn’t a kids sweet shop, this is medication, a doctor will choose your medication for you”.
I was with Curaleaf Clinic (Curaleaf) years back and this back and forth has instantly reminded me of them, seems to me that it’s completely dependent on who you talk to and if they’ve rolled over the right side of the bed that morning..
The thoughts and ultimatums now spiralling in my head are pissing me off quite frankly, ‘Discharge yourself from Medicann (albeit leaving a 120g limit but unreliable stock and no freedom, fantastic delivery and portal though), for Auravia (20g 1st month, with a doctor choosing my meds, an all round longer lead time, still no guarantees whether I’ll be able to send my prescriptions to other pharmacies, But, probably cheaper meds)… Although now as I’m typing this out, maybe that extra premium we pay at Medicann with having to buy more expensive meds in general due to stock issues etc is actually worth it for the simple freedom of being left to our own devices.
Really in two minds now and I’m not sure what to do, probably need to go elsewhere now I reckon any thoughts or clinic suggestions would be appreciated, sorry I couldn’t bring you happy news because I really wanted this to work out.
